Hello and welcome back crafty friends!
Thank you to everyone who participated in challenge #4, we LOVED seeing your interactive projects over the past month! We’d like to congratulate our winner, Meghan Kennihan, please feel free to grab and display your winner badge which can be found on the righthand column (or at the bottom of the page on mobile)!
Now, onto Challenge #5! This month we have a pretty purple and green colour palette. Don’t forget to link your projects featuring Penguin Palace stamps below for your chance to win a $25 gift card!

I’ve been obsessed with full panel shaker cards lately, they’re so fun, quick to make, and super versatile! I hope this inspires you to try one yourself!

I started by creating the background panel using the ridges on the side of the stencil from the Mountain Landscape Scene Builder Dies & Stencil Set. I blended different shades of purple and green dye inks to match this month’s colour palette. Once the panel was complete I used some scrap acetate to form a “pocket” around the panel and added some sequins and glitter before closing the 4th side.

Next, I cut the I Made You A Cake Stand Alone Die from Heavyweight Premium Cardstock in the shades Deep Lavender, White-Sand Beach, and Apple Green. I adhered the pieces together and opted to cut the bottom half of the cake off so it wouldn’t hide too much of the background and shaker element. Lastly, I stamped the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from Enchanting Paris onto the cake and adhered it to the front of the shaker card.

We always love to see your creations and would love for you to join us in challenge #5! All you have to do to enter is use the challenge theme (colour palette) to create a project that features at least one Penguin Palace product as the focal point. Full challenge rules can be found here.
This month’s challenge runs until September 13th at 11:59 PDT. We’ll select a winner to receive a $25 CAD gift certificate to ppstamps.com which will be announced on September 15th at the beginning of our next challenge!
Don’t forget to link up your project below, and if you’re sharing to social media use the hashtag #penguinpalaceprojects! We’d also love for you to share your projects in the challenge album in our Penguin Palace Facebook group!
