Penguin Palace Challenge #6 – Clean and Simple

Hello and welcome back crafty friends!

We LOVED seeing your summery coloured projects over the past month! Thank you to everyone who participated in Challenge #5! We’d like to congratulate our winner, Meghan Kennihan, please feel free to grab and display your winner badge which can be found on the righthand column (or at the bottom of the page on mobile)!

Now, onto Challenge #6! This month’s theme is one of my personal favourites: clean and simple (whatever that means to you!). Don’t forget to link your projects featuring Penguin Palace stamps below for your chance to win a $25 gift card!

Clean and simple cards are some of my favourites to create. I knew I wanted to go very clean and simple for this challenge and show how to creatively use some of the Penguin Palace dies!

I used the long rectangular die (that’s meant for a sentiment strip) from the Cinematic Shadow Box Stand-Alone Die and cut it out once from each of the following Heavyweight Premium Cardstock colours: Deep Lavender, Electric Blue, Vintage Beetle, Apple Green, Citrus Cooler, Pumpkin Field, Fashion Week, and Cotton Candy (the Prism Pack (Volume I) includes one sheet of each of these colours!). I also cut one out of plain white cardstock so my white space would lie flush with the rest of the card and have that dotted detail.

Once I had all of the pieces cut, I adhered them to an A2 card base in rainbow order from top to bottom and used my paper trimmer to cut the excess off each side. Lastly, I stamped the “Happy Birthday” from the Enchanting Paris stamp set on the bottom right hand corner to finish off the card!

We always love to see your creations and would love for you to join us in challenge #6! All you have to do to enter is use the challenge theme (clean and simple) to create a project that features at least one Penguin Palace product as the focal point. Full challenge rules can be found here.

This month’s challenge runs until October 13th at 11:59 PDT. We’ll select a winner to receive a $25 CAD gift certificate to ppstamps.com which will be announced on October 15th at the beginning of our next challenge!

Don’t forget to link up your project below, and if you’re sharing to social media use the hashtag #penguinpalaceprojects! We’d also love for you to share your projects in the challenge album in our Penguin Palace Facebook group!
