Hello and welcome back crafty friends!

We LOVED seeing your spring color palette and geometric projects over the past two months! Thank you so much to all of those who participated in Challenge #13 & #14! Now, onto Penguin Palace Challenge 15! Today is Canada Day, so I thought it would be fun to make a Canada-inspired card! But no worries for our non-Canadian friends, this challenge’s theme is a bit more broad, it can be ANYTHING holiday-inspired–maybe you want to do Christmas in July, Chinese New Year, anything goes! Don’t forget to link your projects featuring Penguin Palace stamps below for your chance to win a $25 gift card!

I love the Bond With Nature Canada stamp set and knew I had to use it for this Canada Day inspired card. I stamped and Copic-colored a few of the images and die-cut them out with the coordinating dies. Then I got to work on building my scene.

On an A2 sized cardstock panel I created the night sky using Distress Oxide Inks (Stormy Sky, Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot) and some white ink spray. I used one of the dies from the Mountain Landscape Scene Builder – Dies & Stencil Set to create my hilly mountains from grey cardstock. Then, I used the coordinating stencil and white pigment ink to create the snowy mountain tops. Next, I created the ground using one of the dies from the Desert Landscape Scene Builder – Dies & Stencil Set and some green cardstock. I adhered all of the pieces to my card base and finished off the card with a happy birthday sentiment from the Bond With Nature Canada stamp set!
