Penguin Palace Challenge #22 – Anything Goes

Hello and welcome back crafty friends!

We loved seeing your interactive projects over the past month and want to thank you so much for participating in Challenge #21!

Before we get to this month’s challenge, two very exciting things:

  1. Penguin Palace’s 1st ever digital stamps collection is here and available for purchase!
  2. Make sure to check out the Pre-Valentine’s Instagram Hop running from January 31 to February 7!

Now, onto Penguin Palace Challenge #22! This time we’re doing an “anything goes” theme, which means you can make anything at all, as long as it involves Penguin Palace products! Don’t forget to link your projects featuring Penguin Palace stamps below for your chance to win a $25 gift card!

I’m so excited to be sharing inspiration using the new digital stamps! They’re all so cute but I had to use some of the adorable images from the new Kawaii Japan digital stamp set. I like to arrange my digital stamps using Microsoft Word, but the beauty of digital stamps is that you can resize and arrange them in any software you’re comfortable with OR you can just print the “bonus” set (which comes in the digital download) that has all of the stamps on one A2 sized sheet!

I started by copying and pasting the image with three lanterns multiple times. I rotated and arranged them to form three lines. Next, I copied and pasted three of the maneki-neko images below the lanterns. When my scene was complete, I printed it onto some Bristol smooth cardstock. The lines of the lanterns didn’t perfectly connect in some places, so I filled in the gaps with a Copic multiliner. Then, I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.

I cut down the panel to 4.25″ x 5.5″, adhered it to a card base, and added some embellishments to finish off the card. I decided to leave this card without a sentiment for now, as I wanted to have the potential to use it for multiple occasions in the future — I can add a “good luck”, “happy birthday”, etc. sentiment when I have an occasion I want to use it for!

We love seeing your creations and would love for you to join us in this month’s challenge! All you have to do to enter is create a project that features at least one Penguin Palace product as the focal point. Full challenge rules can be found here.

This month’s challenge runs until February 27th at 11:59 PDT. We’ll select a winner to receive a $25 CAD gift certificate to ppstamps.com from challenge #21 and #22 which will be announced on March 1st at the beginning of challenge #23!

Don’t forget to link up your project below, and if you’re sharing to social media use the hashtag #penguinpalaceprojects! We’d also love for you to share your projects in the challenge album in our Penguin Palace Facebook group!
